According to the updated ranking of the Scimago Journal & Country Rank (SJR), experts have placed the journal “The bulletin of Irkutsk State University. Series «Mathematics»” in the first quartile Q1 of the “Mathematics” category 2024. This means that the journal is ranked in the top 25% of the best journals in the world in its subject area.

Among Russian scientific editions in the subject area of “Mathematics”, ISU journal took the first place based on the 2024 results. Since 2021, the journal has consistently held its Q2 position in the SJR ranking for three years.

SJR evaluates the journal based on data contained in the Scopus database. Both the number of citations and the importance or prestige of the publications that cite it are taken into account.

The high position of the publication in the Scimago Journal & Country Rank is a significant achievement for our journal, which contributes to increasing its visibility to the Russian and international scientific audience. The high-quality articles by authors, the effective work of reviewers and the editorial board have contributed to improving the journal’s position in the ranking.

The journal is indexed in Russian and international databases. Since 2019 it is indexed in the Scopus database, as well as in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI, WoS). The journal is also included in the List of the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK), and the expert councils of the VAK have assigned the journal category K1. In 2022, the journal was included in the “White List of Journals”. According to the distribution by categories of scientific editions in the “White List”, it has been assigned the second level.

Over the 18 years of its existence, “The bulletin of Irkutsk State University. Series «Mathematics»” has published 683 articles (64 volumes). It has been cited in the RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index) more than 2300 times. The journal operates under an open access policy, according to which readers have free access to the full text materials of the journal. In addition, the main principle of our journal remains the possibility of free publication, and most importantly, the high quality of article reviewing.
