On Saturday, November 16, two lectures of the popular science project “Scientific Saturdays” will be held at ISU Institute of Philology, Foreign Languages and Media Communication.

During the first lecture, the audience will learn about Irkutsk chevaliers of the Order of St. George.

The author of the lecture: Alexander Anufriev, Senior lecturer at the Department of Russian History of ISU, Executive Director of Irkutsk Regional branch of the Russian Military and Historical Society.

The topic of the lecture: “Irkutsk – St. George’s chevaliers”

The second lecture will begin after the first and will be devoted to Indian culture.

The authors of the lecture: graduate students of the Center for Russian Studies of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi, India) Bhavana, Tabrez Syed Mohammad, Duholiya Praneet.

The topic of the lecture: “How to preserve ancient culture for thousands of years: secrets of India”.
